OK so we are back on schedule for the weekly post. Hopefully you are enjoying our blog. Another week and we are all surviving. Due day is one week closer and Alicia is still off and on but doing pretty well. We are still waiting to see if it will be a boy or girl. We like surprises. We haven't decided on a name yet, but we have some in mind. So yesterday was Kathrine's birthday and we had a nice time with Mom, Dad and everyone else. Well no Brad but it was nice to get together and hang out. The weather didn't hold out like we planned so the trip to park was short but long enough to allow the kids to run around. Then we came back to house and just relaxed and the kids played together. It is nice to have them close and allow them to play. Angela is like another grandma to the cousins. Dad finally bought him a bike after his got stolen. It was like a little boy on Christmas morning. Then we all went to Olive Garden, (Kathrine's favorite restaurant). It was nice day and I think Kathrine enjoyed her birthday. Today we had a little mishap with our plumbing so I spent about three hours in the crawl space unclogged the pipes, fun fun and more fun. Then for dinner Papa and Nana came over for corned beef and cabbage, yummers. And some cake. So Kathrine got three parties, lucky girl.
We can't believe that Kathrine is 7, time is going by too fast. We are so happy that we caught all her memories on film. Love ya Grandma

Dear Grandma,
Sorry about last week, I had some trouble with my pictures. And they are still not turning out like I want, but anyways. Last week was very good here in Portland. The weather is starting to be more like spring with little to no rain. So we took advantage of a nice saturday and went for a nice hike up by the zoo. We like going up there because it's close and we can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the awesome terain of the northwest. We love our girls, they always love to be outside. You will have to check out our other blog to see some of our earlier adventures. After our 3 mile hike we went swimming, indoors that is. It wasn't that nice outside. Kathrine and Addison have been in swimming lessons for the last three weeks and they have become quit the little swimmings. We swam for 2 hrs going down the slide many times and practicing jumping in and swimming back to the side of the pool. They could have swam all night but I knew that it was time to go. Needless to say they were pretty tired when we got home. They passed out the minute their little heads hit the pillows. This is one thing I have learned about being a dad, make them tired with lots of activities and it makes it easier for them to fall asleep. Then on Sunday we went to Uncle Patrick's and Aunt Paige's for an early birthday party for Kathrine. It was a nice time to visit with them. So below are the pictures from our hike. You can click on them to make the bigger. Enjoy. Love ya, until next time.
We enjoyed our lunch in the park. The sun felt really good. We don't see Mr Sun that much so we have to take full advantage and spend the most time we can outside.
Little Addison got a small cut on her eye while at school today. We had a Daddy Daughter day at her school where we did a craft, played some games and had pop and popcorn. It was nice to spend some time with her, she is getting so big and grown up.
So me your scary tree!!!!!!!!
Here was the fun part of the hike, all the way to the top of the stairs. Kathrine found a pine tree branch and decided to drag it the whole way. She is crazy. She even name it "branchy" They were quit the little troopers, I made them hike the whole 3 miles.
Look close, you can see Mt Saint Helens and behind her is Mt Rainer where Mom and Dad live. Like I said earlier, the weather was awesome
Kathrine has to climb every tree she can. I think she climbed 5 this time.

Merry Christmas
Yes Christmas has come and gone. But you didn't get a chance to see our pictures. We were so happy to be together and the pictures show this.
First Post
Dear Grandma, we have been thinking of you lately wishing we were closer. We are making this blog so we can share our memories with you. We will share some great memories in word, pictures, and video. Hopefully we can update this weekly. Please stay tuned in and enjoy our memories.
So as of today, life is getting busier and busier, with Kathrine in first grade, Addison in preschool and the new baby on the way. All we can say is wow. Kathrine is excelling fast in school with her reading and writing. She loves to read and is reading every chance she can get. She is participating in Spanish Club where she is learning Spanish after school. She is also learning to swim and of course she is still in dance club. She loves to dance, dance and dance. Addison is also excelling very well in pre school, learning to write her name and learning site words. She is also in swim class and boy she can swim. She loves to jump in and sticks her head right in and kick and kick. And of course she is also in dance class. Our girls can't get enough of dancing. Well this is just a quick overview, we will get more detailed in future posts. We love to take pictures, so these posts might be more pictures than words, but hopefully you will enjoy.
