Dear Grandma,
Sorry about last week, I had some trouble with my pictures. And they are still not turning out like I want, but anyways. Last week was very good here in Portland. The weather is starting to be more like spring with little to no rain. So we took advantage of a nice saturday and went for a nice hike up by the zoo. We like going up there because it's close and we can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the awesome terain of the northwest. We love our girls, they always love to be outside. You will have to check out our other blog to see some of our earlier adventures. After our 3 mile hike we went swimming, indoors that is.  It wasn't that nice outside. Kathrine and Addison have been in swimming lessons for the last three weeks and they have become quit the little swimmings. We swam for 2 hrs going down the slide many times and practicing jumping in and swimming back to the side of the pool. They could have swam all night but I knew that it was time to go.  Needless to say they were pretty tired when we got home.  They passed out the minute their little heads hit the pillows.  This is one thing I have learned about being a dad, make them tired with lots of activities and it makes it easier for them to fall asleep.  Then on Sunday we went to Uncle Patrick's and Aunt Paige's for an early birthday party for Kathrine.  It was a nice time to visit with them. So below are the pictures from our hike. You can click on them to make the bigger. Enjoy. Love ya, until next time.

We enjoyed our lunch in the park. The sun felt really good. We don't see Mr Sun that much so we have to take full advantage and spend the most time we can outside.

Little Addison got a small cut on her eye while at school today. We had a Daddy Daughter day at her school where we did a craft, played some games and had pop and popcorn. It was nice to spend some time with her, she is getting so big and grown up.
 So me your scary tree!!!!!!!!

Kathrine and Addison just can't resist to pose for the camera

Here was the fun part of the hike, all the way to the top of the stairs. Kathrine found a pine tree branch and decided to drag it the whole way. She is crazy. She even name it "branchy"  They were quit the little troopers, I made them hike the whole 3 miles.

Look close, you can see Mt Saint Helens and behind her is Mt Rainer where Mom and Dad live. Like I said earlier, the weather was awesome

Kathrine has to climb every tree she can. I think she climbed 5 this time.
